After launching a new website and identity, JARC wanted to commemorate its 20th anniversary with a celebration hosted at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago. The event's purpose was to bring everyone together including staff, volunteers, donors, alumni, and more, to celebrate 20 strong years of community involvement. To denote this festive occasion, we used the metaphor of "catching the spark," meaning the spirit of celebration as well as the spark of knowledge or instigating change. The materials were designed to look appropriate without feeling too expensive, to satisfy both the JARC audience and donators (since attendance required a significant donation to benefit JARC).
