The Soirée des Arts is the Lycée Français de Chicago's annual fundraising auction event. A variety of services and items are catalogued and auctioned off as a means of generating revenue for the school. Materials for the event included an invitation and its envelope, a reply card and accompanying envelope, two table tents, an auction catalogue, and more. Because the Lycée is a French program, all materials were designed to accommodate both English and French translations. The invitation is an accordian-fold that flips back-to-front to read in separate languages. The imagery is all derived from the Artist-in-Residence program for that season, the sculptor Laurent Baude, whose work is highly process-based and created from pre-existing objects and materials. Reflecting this process, the art direction of the entire Soirée campaign is comprised of recycled materials from the project itself (slides, notes, images, writing).
